I believe that the trait that helps place myself above other possible recruits is my perseverance and dedication to becoming a better baseball player. I was cut from my sophomore baseball team, but I knew that moment didn't have to end my life in baseball or define me as being a bad player. After that day, I dedicated myself to improving and made baseball a priority because I loved the sport and knew I had to work in order to keep playing. As soon as weights started up around Thanksgiving, in my junior year, I was there everyday at 6:30 AM working as hard as I could. During that time I was going to baseball before and after school almost everyday, and I loved it because I knew I was getting better and becoming a better player for my team. This past week on March 5, 2015 I found out I made it on the varsity team. Getting cut helped teach me that I needed to work hard and dedicate myself to the grind in order to be successful. I am glad this happened because it was the wakeup call I needed in order to help make the step to the next level. Since that day I have never missed a chance to throw, swing or workout. If you choose to bring me onto your team, I can only promise to be at practice every single day and working to the best of my abilities. I have a lot to learn in terms of fundamentals, but who doesn't. I will come out to play hard everyday and improve myself for the sake of the team. I truly love the game and have learned to work for it because it broke my heart to miss playing it for a whole spring, and I will do everything in my power so that I can play for as long as possible
