My name is Tyler Schader, a junior who currently stands at 5’11 and 165lbs. I bat left, throw left, and speed is a strength. While still exploring career paths, studying finance is an interest of mine.
I can tell you I thrive on discipline in all aspects of life. Whether on the field or beyond the game of baseball, I am locked into the details that will make me most successful. I prepare for the game with the same focus and attention to detail that is required in the classroom and life. I patiently work the count at the plate, I attack with a purpose and I’m not afraid to make a pitcher throw strikes. One of the biggest accomplishments a coach has ever given was to tell me I am a coachable athlete. Because I’m dedicated to making myself better in all aspects of the game, I welcome the advice of those more experienced who see both my ability and room for growth.
When it comes to the mental aspect, I believe I have a leg up on the competition. I remain calm and focused whether in pressure filled situations or when facing failure. I have the ability to control my emotions in both the exciting and defeating moments. Since the age of five, baseball has been the sport I’ve given the most time, energy, and passion to. Now it is the only sport I play, and look forward to the opportunity to grow and expand my game at the next level.
