Jordan Wright '16 Recruiting Profile

     Hi, I'm Jordan Wright. I'm from Sycamore, Illinois and I am a student-athlete at Sycamore High School. I'm currently 5'10" and weigh 160 pounds. My overall high school GPA  is 3.4 and I scored 22 on my ACT.It's always been a dream of mine to play baseball at the collegiate level.  I've had a passion for the game since I was a kid and still have a passion. I play center field and am a left handed pitcher. Speed is my best asset. At the plate, I do not swing at many pitches out of the zone, I have fast hands, and I hit for both contact and power. Defensively, I can cover a lot of ground due to my speed and the ability to get good reads off the bat. I also have above average arm strength from the outfield. 

     From an academic standpoint I would like to go to a school that will challenge me in the classroom.  Academics are important because if I don't have a career in professional sports I would like to pursue a career in physical therapy. At some point the game catches up to everyone but a college degree can never be taken away.  

     Overall, I am leader on and off the field. I lead by example because I not only want myself to be successful but I want those around me to be successful. My life has been about working hard, dedication, and giving 100 percent in everything I do.  The idea of failure only drives me to improve myself on a day to day basis.
