When I first picked up my plastic bat and hit the plastic ball my dad threw to me at the age of two, I fell in love with baseball. Quickly my family realized my natural talent. My dad, who has pushed me to reach my fullest potential and never settle for less, practiced with me relentlessly, day after day, without complaint. There was a time during my baseball career that I was restricted to play due to an injury, and in that time my love and passion only grew more for the game. When I had to sit out for my eighth grade baseball season, I realized I can’t take anything for granted. It has helped me to play harder and give everything I have no matter what the score is. Since beginning my baseball career at the age of three, I have always been a standout player and a multi-positional player, and recently I was promoted to center field due to my speed agility. If there is one specific area of the sport that I must choose as my favorite or one area I excel in, it is my speed around the bases. I have spent countless hours perfecting my head first dive into bases and making the ability to slide efficient to get around tags. Baseball is and has been my passion since I was little, and my passion has only grown stronger. I realized I can’t take anything for granted because anything can happen, so I give all that I can, no matter the score.
