Jake Lockyer '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Lockyer, I am 17 years old and I live in Peterborough Ontario Canada.  

 

I am a catcher with the Oshawa Legionnaires 17U Elite Baseball Team.  Our team plays in the Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) which is the top 17U baseball league in Ontario Canada for competitive players.  I am working hard to achieve my goal of playing College Baseball in the U.S. upon completing high school in 2019. 

 

My coaches will tell you that I am a leader, both on and off the field.  I bring a consistent and competitive approach both offensively and defensively to my game.  I take the most pride in my defense and my abilities to receive, block and control the running game.  This year my average POP time to second base is under 2.0 with my best recorded time at 1.93 seconds.  Being a good teammate is of the utmost importance to me as I learned early in my baseball life that being coachable and a good teammate helps a team be successful.
