Kooper Jacobson '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kooper Jacobson and I am 17 years old.  I'm from Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada.

I have always loved baseball since I started playing the game when I was in t-ball. I always try to be a good teammate and leader on and off the field. 

I also play hockey. I've been playing hockey for 12 years. This past season I was chosen by my coaches to be the captain of my team; showing great leadership skills and determination to work together. 

I enjoy team building activities as they are a great way to get to know your fellow teammates and make new friends. You can make memories that can help create chemistry to be used on the ball field. 

When I am on the field or ice, I try not to get down on myself and always have a calm and positive attitude towards my team and myself at all times. 

I play for my city’s house league as well as it's travel baseball team, the Thunder Bay Lakers and have been a part of this organization for 8 years. They have helped me become a better ball player and assist me to become a better individual and collective ball player. 

In the summer of 2023 while at the Youth World Series in Cincinnati I was chosen to attend the All American All Star tournament in Panama City Beach. This was an excellent learning opportunity. Also a great chance to get to know players from all over. I really enjoyed playing at the higher level. I ended up winning the Best Pitcher award.

I will continue to strive to improve on my entire game and individual skills in the future.  I truly believe I can make it as far as I can and be happy with what I have accomplished.

I have come to realize that school will be an important factor to becoming a well rounded student athlete . I will strive do my best in all my classes and maintain a high GPA.

I am enrolled at Hammarskjold High school, one of six high schools in Thunder Bay. We unfortunately do not have a baseball team.

My school selection is open to any school at this point. 

That is just a bit about me and what I want to do for baseball and my schooling in the future.
