Riley Johnston '20 Recruiting Profile

Excited about continuing to play baseball in an environment that I can both get quality education and develop as a player to hopefully open up other doors for my playing career.

Usually one of the first players to the field and always the last off the field when dressing the diamond.  not afraid of the hard work to keep our diamond in pristine shape and always making sure things are locked up on my way out.

I have been one of the only players hitting the gym 5 days a week and have see my hitting power go way up, as well as my pitching (Broke 80).  I've been hitting in the 3 or 4 hole for the past 2 years as well as being our starting catcher.  Otherwise I like to consider myself a utility player, as I can play at any position and do it well.  Grew up playing up the middle (SS, 2B, CF, P, C) but can play anywhere my coach needs my.  Play time is play time.

I love my teammates and that is one of my favorite parts of the game is getting to spend time with them.  I'm not a person that causes things on the bench, I'm usually the guy trying to calm the rest of them down.

I'm currently doing some upgrading this year, as well as actively starting my College/University hunt.  I don't have my heart set on any one place yet,  but I'm hoping to narrow that down before second semester.
