Tanner Ray '27 Recruiting Profile

I am currently in 8th grade and have been playing baseball since I could walk. Baseball is my favorite sport, although I am a four sport athlete. I am always looking to improve my game in baseball by putting in extra work. This includes working 1:1 with our local college coach on hitting and pitching, strength training with a personal trainer and at home, as well as utilizing free time with my dad on techniques of fielding, hitting and pitching. I understand the value of being a good teammate, student and leader both on the field but also just as important off the field. I study the game often by watching videos as well as local live games. My goal this year as an 8th grader is to make the Junior Varsity team. Shortstop is my preferred position, however, I am also comfortable in the outfield and other infield positions.
