Daniel Powers '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Daniel Powers and I am a sophomore at Davenport Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa.  I have always dreamed of playing college baseball and maybe someday professionally.  I have an undeniable passion and love for the game.  Since I was very young I have played travel baseball at the highest level.  Every year I continue to work harder to become the best player I can.  What an honor and privilege it would be to play college baseball.

I value my coaches, teachers, and parents, knowing they are there to assist me in becoming the best student athlete I can be.  I pay attention to detail and work hard at achieving my academic and baseball goals.  Becoming a better player and improving my skills requires discipline, self-motivation, and endless hours of practice.  I believe to be successful I must be a team player, demonstrate leadership, and strive to be a role model on and off the field. 

In order to play baseball at the collegiate level my number one priority is to focus on my academics.  I realize how important my grades are not only for baseball but to grow as an individual and provide many great opportunities. 

I would love to find a college that will allow me to pursue my interests academically as well as allow me to play at the most competitive level of baseball possible.  I am open to all opportunities that are available.  I have such a great network of support from my family, coaches, and teachers.  I will do my best to make them all very proud.
