Being able to suit varsity my freshman year was something I will never forget, and was the highlight of my freshman year. I feel that I grew more as a person and a student-athlete. In the fall of my sophomore year, I realized that grades and having good character are more important than anything. Putting all my focus on my grades as much as I put into baseball really helped me out. What really helped me as a person were the seniors of the class of '23. They shaped me into the person I am today, they were some of the best people I have ever been around and surrounded myself with. I am very grateful to be a Newton cardinal and the spirit of this town has so much energy and it gives you something to win for which I would like to carry on to your university. I am hard-working, a good teammate, and will always fight through adversity. But most importantly I am a leader. I will take the initiative and hold people accountable where it's due. Not only do I need to be athletic but to need character and I think I have exactly that and am more than fit to be a player and leader on your team.
