August 2014My name is Mitchell List and I am a high school junior in Wichita, Kansas. I graduate in 2016, and my primary positions are pitching and 3rd base. I grew up playing baseball, football, and basketball. I’m still playing all three sports at the varsity level in high school, but I am very interested in the game of baseball. One of my goals is to be able to play at the college level once I graduate from high school. Baseball and basketball keep me busy during the summer and I try to work very hard on my own. My focus is on academics and I plan to study business once I get into college. I hope to go to the best school I can academically, while pursuing my dream of college baseball.
I am 6'3 and right around 230 lbs. I am a big encourager on the team and believe that negativity gets you nowhere. Respect and integrity are also very important to me both on and off the field. I am quick on my feet and can react quickly to wherever the ball is hit. One of my other strengths is my hitting ability. I absolutely love hitting the ball. I have batted the 4 spot and occasionally the 3 spot every year I have played. I finished my sophomore year batting .513. I have played and started on the varsity level since I was a freshman. Both years I attained the title of All-League, and was voted 2nd team all-state sophomore year.
The last thing I want you to know, is that I am committed. I work hard and strive to be the best player on the field, and a good Christian example off the field. Faith is a big part of my life and it has always been that way. I care about my faith and also in others opinions of me. I know college baseball is the next step that I want to take in my life. I would like to thank you for your time, and hope you learned a few things about me!
