My name is Nicholas Ferraro and I have been playing baseball ever since I was born basically. Other sports have had an impact in my life, but nothing like baseball. I have grown not only as an athlete, but as a person through the sport. When I moved from a Knothole baseball team to a more competitive baseball team around 5th grade, I realized that I wanted to play baseball for as long as possible. This jump to playing against more competitive teams is what led me to want to be better and push myself as an athlete. One of the highlights of my career is winning the South West Ohio Silver Championship.
My 8th grade year I got the opportunity to play for the freshman team at my soon to be high school. That season I pulled multiple muscles in my legs and did not play as well as I usually do. This injury made me again understand how much I loved the game. I wanted to get better and play for my team. Ever since, my focus has been on my grades in school and working on my game. This determination has gotten me a spot on the varsity roster all 3 years in high school. I believe I can bring this determination and focus to the next level in college.
