Personal Statement
After two and a half years at Georgetown College, through Tommy John Surgery and then COVID, I have decided to search for a school where I can complete my major and show my baseball abilities. (I do have a release letter if needed) During my freshman year, I visited Dr. Kremcheck (Cincinnati Reds Doctor) and after multiple attempts to see what was going on, he decided Tommy John surgery was the best option if I wanted to continue playing. After surgery, I worked with a Physical Therapist to rehab my injury of a year. Lots of up and down days, but the end product has been rewarding!! About the time, I was ready to be released, COVID took over the country, so he decided to continue my rehab (no issues, just wanted me as strong as possible). I was released from Dr. Kremcheck in July 2021 and reported to Georgetown College in August. After talking with my coach, he decided since I had not pitched for a year and a half to put me on limited innings for fall scrimmages. During the fall, I threw 9 innings, with a 0.00 ERA with 4 walks and two strikeouts. I just finished mid-terms and getting over a sinus infection so I do not have a current velocity check, but my last run and gun two weeks ago was 86 mph. I was still working to return to 100% and the varsity roster was already completed so I did not pitch this spring. I have however continued to work out with my physical therapist/trainer 3 times a week and throw with my pitching coach twice (2x) a week for mound work. I am looking for a school where I can work on obtaining my degree and have to ability to show my skills on the mound.
