Personal Statement

My name is Josh Livengood and my goal is to be the best possible RHP that I can be by combining my physical gifts (size, strength and arm durability) with an extremely strong work ethic and a desire to constantly learn as much as possible about my position. In addition to baseball, I am 100% committed to getting excellent grades at Lexington Christian Academy and going to college to obtain a degree in environmental and/or biological sciences. I have been at LCA since I was in 2^nd grade and my faith is very important to me. I love being part of a team and competing to win a championship with my teammates. I really enjoy being both a starting pitcher and reliever depending on what my coaches need from me and I am currently working hard in the weight room to maximize my strength so that I can reach my goal of achieving at least a 3-5 mph gain per year.

Has a tall balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands square. His fastball was 76-77 mph. Threw a 12/6 curveball (64-67) that showed low in the zone command. His changeup (64-68) shows some action and consistent command.
