Jack Ockerman '17 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play collegiate baseball at a high level.  I am a leader on the field and off for my team and peers.  I have high moral values and integrity and strive to do the right thing.  I work hard developing my baseball skills as well as maintaining a high GPA in the classroom.  On the field, I   I am able to read balls well off the bat and I have excellent fundamentals for fielding. I also have a strong and accurate arm with carry from the outfield (88 mph).  I am athletic with good speed (6.8 60 yard)  I am able to hit for production.  I am a line drive hitter and who flows the middle of the field (85 mph exit velo). I am short to the ball and quick out of the box (3.9 home to 1st).  I also am able to drag bunt and push bunt for hits or production.  I hit off a tee daily and continue to work on hitting and plate approach. I am also LHP.  (82-83mph) I can throw four pitches for strikes, which are;  fastball (2 and 4 seam, curveball, change-up,  and slider).

From my high character, academics, baseball fundamentals, and success on the field, I will be a great addition to a high level program.
