Coming from a family that loves baseball (two of my uncles played at the collegiate level), gave me the chance to be introduced to the sport at a young age. Ever since then, I was the one asking to play year after year. Then one year when I was playing 10u travel ball, I thought my love for the game had begun to regress. I was not playing very much and had a tough season. I even thought about quitting to focus on other sports. Instead of quitting, my family encouraged me to stick with it. I am glad they did because I cannot imagine these past few years without baseball. I ended up working harder and gaining a starting spot on the team the next year. To me, baseball is not just something fun I like to do, it is something that has always pushed me to achieve that next goal. That goal was the making my high school team, then the varsity team, now I hope to play on a college team.
