My name is Jacob Pryor. I will be a senior in the fall at Middletown High School in Middletown, Maryland. I have a 3.7 GPA and am taking honors classes. I love to play baseball and am usually the first player on the field and the last to leave. I am often getting teammates together to "go hit" for extra practice. I play travel baseball with Mid-Maryland United in the fall and summer and play for my high school team in the spring. I play left and center field for both teams. I was selected to the Maryland team for the Big 26 to be held in Harrisburg, PA the weekend of 7/25/19. This summer I also played in the WWBA Perfect Game National Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team as a hitter and in the fall of 2018, I was named to the All-tournament team at the 17U Virginia Tech Fall Invitational. During my most recent high school baseball season, I received honorable mention in the CMC conference and 2nd team in Frederick County. My team played in the Class 2A Maryland state championship against LaPlata high school and I went 2 for 2 in the game, scoring 2 of our 4 runs. I led my high school team in batting average. In the summer of 2018 I was selected for MSABC Team Maryland and played in the 2018 MSABC Fantastic Frosh/Super Soph Showcase Event at Baysox Stadium in June. I also run indoor track for my high school, and enjoy hunting and skiing. I am excited to play baseball at Wilson College and will major in education.
