Juan Melgar '22 Recruiting Profile

I live in Guatemala City, I do virtual school, Calvert High school. I play baseball since I was 6 years old. Since 2015 I go to Tampa FL, to play baseball in 3 different travel teams. I also receive hitting lessons, with Coach Danny Garcia, at The Hitting Academy. Coach Danny has helped me a lot with my swing. My nearest goal is to play college baseball, and get a scholarship. My main position is catcher, and my secondary positions are second, and first base. Baseball is my passion. I practice 5 days a week, and that includes fitness and strengthening. During my Major and Junior years in Little League, I have been selected for the National Team of Guatemala. In the 2015 Little League regional tournament, I won catching gold glove. 

All my family supports me in baseball, and my little brother plays it as well.
