Josh Wright '21 Recruiting Profile

I would describe myself as an individual is striving to reach my full potential.  The transition to high school has taught me the importance of perseverance in developing my academic skills and overcoming personal challenges.   Some of the academic skills that I continue to work on are setting weekly goals and advocating for myself. Through my efforts to improve my performance in the classroom, I am taking Honors and College Preparatory courses, including United States History, English, Geometry, and American Sign.  I am scheduled to take Advanced Placement American Government and Politics this coming academic year.

Besides striving towards academic excellence, I am dedicated to improving my lacrosse skills by attending lacrosse skill sessions that focus on defense and spending time on the "wall." Furthermore, I committed myself to a strength and conditioning program to improve my athletic performance on the field.  

Through these various experiences, I am continuing to work towards my personal goals. One of my personal goals is to focus on improving my academic skills, so I am equipped with the necessary tools to achieve academic excellence. Another goal is to develop my leadership skills and help to create a culture that values commitment.  Another goal is to compete at the college level in a sport that I truly enjoy and respect. The game of lacrosse allows me an opportunity to compete against others while developing a bond with teammates as we work towards a common team goal.
