Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Dwyer., and I am a Junior at the Williston Northampton School. To tell you a little about myself, I am also a three-year member of the Varsity Swimming team, and a one-year member of the Varsity Soccer Team. After Last year’s soccer season, I was awarded the Sportsmanship award, and at the end of my last swimming season, my teammates voted me the most improved swimmer. As a student, I take academics very seriously, and choose to take on a rigorous schedule and hard courses. I am on the Honor Roll at my school, assume a leadership role as a proctor, and am very active in the school’s community. I am a member of the Model UN Team, Math Team, Community Service Club, Music Production Club, Jazz Band, school newspaper, and am a campus tour guide. I find it very important to participate in extracurriculars such as these, and feel I have gained valuable skills through my involvement. Outside of school, I am a Boy Scout of Troop 504 in North Amherst, Massachusetts. I earned the Rank of Eagle Scout in 2015, and for my project I constructed Dugouts for the youth Cal Ripken field in my town. I played for Cal Ripken teams in my hometown from first grade to sixth grade, and what excited me most about my project was the chance to give back to the very organization that helped develop my love of Baseball. Whether academically or athletically, I pride myself on setting goals and working as hard as I possibly can to reach them.
