I once read,  "It's not about baseball, it's about resilience."  For me, it has always been about both.  As a military child, adversity and change are the status quo.   Baseball has been the one constant in my life.   Every time I walk past the white chalk, I lose myself.  The stress of the day lifts away; solace and peace are mine once more.   Baseball, like the military,  has taught me to always strive for excellence,  lead from the front,  treasure friends and family, give more than I receive and never settle for less than my very best.  This passion for baseball built a strong work ethic that results in comments like "This kid's motor never stops turning" and "The fight in this kid is ferocious."  

Theo Epstein once said, "Baseball is a game based on adversity.  It's going to find your weaknesses and your vulnerabilities and force you to adjust".  I have spent my life learning to embrace the challenge of new communities, schools, friends, teams and coaches.  In all things on and off the field, I am resilient as only a military child can be, resolute in my commitment as a scholar athlete and relentless in my pursuit to become an exceptional baseball player.
