Colin Lynch '23 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

My name is Colin Lynch, I am a 2023 graduate from Nantucket High School out of Nantucket, Massachusetts. I believe I would make a great candidate for a collegiate level baseball program because of my leadership, work ethic and my strive to be the best I possibly can be at baseball and in the classroom. I believe that not only leadership and work ethic are an important part of a teammate. Being a good teammate and building positive chemistry is what helps teams win. I believe that I also bring this to the table.

Just being good at your sport doesn't necessarily mean you're a good candidate, you must excel in the classroom as well. I believe this is what brings me above other recruits/candidates in my class. I take my education equally as serious as I do my sport because that is what makes a good student athlete. I have received above average grades in the honors level courses that I take and I do plan on taking AP level math courses my senior year to finish out strong and to start college education out strong rather than suffering with what some call "senioritis".

As for my baseball skills, I may not be the best baseball player in my class but I certainly work for it. I am constantly working on my craft and always trying to get better, whether its getting to practice early and leaving later to get extra reps in, working out on my own time or doing hand eye coordination drills, pitch recognition drills or just watching MLB games on the TV closely paying attention to mechanics, footwork and technique. I am always trying to get better everyday. This is why I believe I am a great candidate for any collegiate level baseball program.
