Matt Stotts '24 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for you interest in me. I am a dual sport athlete who plays football and baseball and take pride in my work ethic on the field and in the classroom.  I have a 3.8 GPA with several AP classes, and am a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

I love the game of baseball. As soon as football season ended, I began training for baseball 5 days a week between my travel team and high school.  I also participated in the Premier Strength training program from December to March. 

I hit for average with power, have great hand/eye coordination, fast hands and an ideal frame for blocking and receiving. This winter I put a lot of work in as a catcher so I am looking forward my travel season and my junior season with my high school team, which won the Division 2 state championship. I also play 3B.

The results have been great with verified results through Perfect Game on 2/11/23 , Motor City Hit Dogs on 2/23/23, or Forest Hills Eastern on 3/13/23.

This work paid off and I was selected as a Perfect Game Preseason All American. 

I am looking to attend a school where I can study engineering or business, play baseball, and grow in my faith.
