Personal Statement

My name is Peyton Solberg.  I’m a hard working and well-rounded athlete that has excelled at 3 high school sports, football, basketball and baseball.  My passion is baseball.  I’ve been playing baseball and excelling since my early childhood.  I made my range little league all-star team 4 straight years.  My passion with baseball continued to high school.  I started for my high school baseball team my freshman and sophomore seasons.  Being part of 2 conference championships and 2 district championships with my high school teams is the highlight of my sports career.

My goals for academics are to keep my high school grade point above a 3.0 and graduate in the Spring of 2021.  I enjoy music.  I have been a member of 2 honor bands and solo ensemble.  In addition, I also performed for my high school choir.  I would like to eventually attend and graduate from a 4-year university.

My mom and dad raised me with strong family values.  My dad was in the Army National Guard for 20 years and my mom owns her own small business.  They have instilled in me a strong work ethic.  I work at Walmart and I’m learning to manage my money and pay my bills, making me more self-sufficient.  I’m a coachable athlete willing to take constructive criticism, using this to better myself.  I hope you find this letter and are willing to give me a chance to prove that I can be a fine addition to your school and baseball program.
