Clutch hit. I was...My name is Jacob Gresham, class of 2022 at Howell High School in Howell, Michigan. 3.5 GPA.
Born June 22, 2004. 5' 10"/170lbs and growing.
RH throw. RH bat.
Primarily MIF in HS and travel ball, but also play 3B and RHP in travel ball. I also catch and play OF occasionally.
I feel confident at almost any position, and I believe that my glovework, baseball IQ, and overall skills & tools allow me to help my team wherever they need me.
I am usually a top half of the lineup hitter, I strive to have a high OBP/OPS and put pressure on defenses on the base paths and do damage at the plate. I work very hard at being a good hitter and maintain awareness of situations so that I have a solid plan at the plate, and intent on the base paths.
I have loved baseball and viewed myself as a baseball player for as long as I can remember, and have been blessed to learn the game from great coaches and mentors. I am always learning, there is always more to learn in baseball, as in life. Many of baseball’s lessons and principles can be applied in life. Discipline, respect, perseverance, overcoming adversity, work ethic, diligence, teamwork, humility, and sacrifice for the greater good. I train and study hard, I work hard, and I play the game hard. When I walk off the field or out of the classroom, I want to know that I gave my best effort, win or lose.
I believe the game of baseball and the mentors I’m blessed to be around will continue to help me grow and progress as an athlete and a person.
When I am not playing baseball, training, or studying, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing video games. I also like spend time with my family, watch sports, or catch up on sleep. School is my number one priority. I also work with my youngest brother when I can, he’s five years younger than me and also loves the game.
In college I intend to pursue a computer science major with a specialization in digital forensics if possible.
