Baseball has always been my life, I’ve played since I could hold a bat and ball. When I was 13 years old I had a elbow injury and missed my 8th grade baseball season and travel ball that year. I went and watched every single one of my teams games and it made me realize how lucky I am to be able to play the game that I loved. That August I underwent a surgery on my elbow that gave me a 6/10 chance to be able to play baseball again. I started therapy the day after my surgery I was determined to not let the odds beat me. At first my progress was not looking great, I was told I would never be able to straighten my elbow again. So I worked harder and harder at my therapy, Baseball season had came around and I was able to throw with no pain and able to hit better than ever. My freshman year of high school was a real eye opener I had made the varsity team and had been succeeding substantially. I found it difficult to balance baseball and my academics,I am challenging myself everyday to become a better student in the classroom just as much as I am challenging myself to become a better baseball player. I hope to further my baseball and academics at a great college.
