Merritt Archer '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Merritt V Archer III and I am a junior at Reeths-Puffer High School in Muskegon. I will be graduating in the spring of 2021. I would love to bring my talents to your campus. I have a GPA of over 3.8, I volunteer in my family church, and I participate in several school programs like PALS, STATS, and Rotary, to name just a few.  I demonstrate the same high intensity undying work ethic in anything I put my mind to. The game of lacrosse has been my true love in sports. I’ve played since my 5’th grade year and, have continued to play virtually year around since.  After suffering a severely broken jaw in my sophomore year of lacrosse, I have vowed to pursue a career in medicine.  I will be seeking a degree in Pre-Med wherever I decide to attend. I expect the same type of commitment from the higher education institution I attend.

I am an attackman with an insatiable love for the game of lacrosse. I always have fun when I play the game, whether it's through practice or, in a game. I have a love and respect for the tenacious work required and, the beauty of the artistic nature needed to play this game at an elevated level. I have an undying work ethic and will never stop improving my game. I pride myself on being a great leader, not just verbally but, putting my head down and leading by example. I know I won't make my game better just by playing lacrosse. I watch and study film constantly, trying to learn as much as I can from as many different games/players as possible. I am a fearless player when I'm attacking the net. I have strong and unique moves that I developed through attempting to replicate the moves many of the games greats demonstrate. I am always seeking to be the best student, teammate, leader, and friend possible. I truly want to be the best person I can for the good of my team, my school, and my community.
