My name is Nick Hepner. I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. I am currently 5'10" and 190 lbs. My 60 yard dash is 7.47. My current velocity is 71 mph. I started playing baseball at the age of 5 for my local parks and recreation organization. At the age of 10 my coaches felt they could no longer take me to the next level and encouraged me to tryout for travel teams. My first travel team was the Mean Machine where I played at the 11U level. I played my next two years (12U and 13U) for Vengeance Travel baseball where I was voted by my teammates and coaches as team captain both years. I then went on to play for a more competitive organization the Detroit Metro Stars. My freshman year I played 3rd base for my high school my sophomore year I was a starter playing shortstop. My freshman year I was named infield MVP. My sophomore year I played Junior Varsity and had the best batting average on the team at .437. I played summer travel ball with the Detroit Metro Stars 14U team. I helped take my team to a 4th place Macomb Area Baseball Federation finish. I was also recognized by my travel coaches as a team leader. I was recognized by the organization as an elite player and was the only player on my team to be chosen to play for the Detroit Metro Stars 15U Elite Team for the upcoming 2012 summer travel season. I have played 1st, 2nd, SS, 3rd, and Pitcher. I am a diversified player and can play anywhere on the infield. My desire is to play baseball at the college level. I am the youngest of 3 children. I have 2 older sisters. My sister Samantha is a 2012 graduate from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My sister Christina is a Junior at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. At this time I have no preference in any particular school. I want to major in secondary education. I would appreciate any contact from coaches regarding upcoming camps or recruiting possibilities.
