DEDICATED is the word that describes me best. I entered the sport of swimming at a later age, so I knew that I would have to put in a lot of hard work to be competitive. This included not only countless practice hours in the pool, but also healthy meal prep, yoga, strength and conditioning. And when I received my Varsity Letter as a Freshmen, and named High School Swim Rookie of the Year, and voted Swim Team Captain for the upcoming Senior Year, I knew that all of that hard work paid-off.
That same dedication also extends to my academics. As a student-athlete, I have had to maintain the right balance between school and sport. So as my performances in the pool were improving, at the same time I was accelerating my performances in the classroom. I am proud that I have been able to achieve and maintain a high GPA while taking many Honors and AP classes. I never make excuses and I always work hard.
Through my dedication to my Coaches and Team-Mates, both at high school and club levels, I have learned the value of team building, constructive criticism, and time management. So now I am excited to join a Program that will challenge me, and will allow me to make a difference by being part of a swim family. I would love to offer the same dedication I have shown in high school to your Program, where I know that I will make a positive impact both athletically and academically.
