Joshua Walker '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joshua Walker. I'm a 17 yr old Senior at Hartfield Academy in Flowood Mississippi.  Im a 2022 Graduate.  My High school baseball career has been far from normal.  I began playing baseball on the Little league fields of College Station Texas.  I started playing travel ball at age 12.  I had a lot of success from 12-15u including being a part of the USSSA Team Texas that competed against other teams in Las Vegas when I was 14.  My Freshman year in High school my family moved to Flowood Mississippi. Having to start over as the kid nobody knew about on a baseball field was tough, but i worked hard and about 10 games into my Freshman year  I made the starting line up and stayed there the rest of the year.  My sophomore year i was moved to a private school for better scholastic opportunities.  My sophomore year i played behind an all state senior 3rd baseman until COVI took our season away.  My Junior year i was set to Start at 3rd base for the best Prep team in Mississippi. Unfortunately one week before the season started i tore a muscle in my calf and missed the entire regular season. I hit the Summer 2021 circuit hard and had a good summer. I carried that over into the fall, I had a great Fall Season hitting over .600 and Ive gained back most of my speed since the injury. I say all of that to show that Im a fighter, I know how to adapt to new situations, how to wait my turn and continue to work hard, especially when things dont go as planned.   I want to play College Baseball, Im just looking for the right team to give me a shot and that i can make a positive impact on.
