Townsend Myers '13 Recruiting Profile

I would like to attend a college and be able to pursue baseball as well as seek a degree in Business. Baseball has been an inspiration to me throughout my life.  I grew up playing both recreational and competitive ball.  I began working out in the eighth grade with my local High School.  For the last four years, I have had the honor of being a starting player on my high school team.  I have been described as a "gamer."  I make things happen and I am a leader on the team.  Third base has become a home for me as well as developing into a RHP throwing from a low arm angle.  I have developed a fastball 80-82 MPH and continue to have growth in this area.  My team placed second runner up in the state last year.  Once again we are on our way with this season.  

Although I have not uploaded a video, I plan to soon.  I have received numerous awards this season and last including, most recently, being selected to the North Mississippi All State Team.  I also am on the top 40 High School Seniors list for the State of Mississippi to watch.  Last year, I received second team Coaches All State and First Team All-Region.  Baseball has brought me excitement and devotion throughout my life.  I would love the opportunity to continue my dream to play at the next level.
