Personal Statement
At the age of 5 I developed my love for baseball. Starting at T-Ball, then to Little league, senior league and now high school, I have learned not only to be a well rounded baseball player, but a strong team player that is willing to do anything that helps the team on the path to victory. I live in a small town 200+ miles from any large city. I play for a high school that is not my own since mine does not have a baseball program, and that in itself has presented its own difficulties. Although I have faced opposition from classmates, school leaders and teachers, I have grown as a person, and developed leadership skills that would not have been gained by playing at my own high school. I have shown and set an example to those around me that having opposition in what you strive to do should not keep you from achieving what you want to do.
I have had an amazing opportunity to take dual credit classes through the local community college. By doing this I have learned more about time management and responsibility. I am working hard to set myself up for a great college future in the Radio-logical Technology Field. I can't wait to begin my college career as a baseball player and improve as a person.
