Personal Statement
From the first time I stepped onto the diamond I developed a deep passion for the game of baseball. I have played baseball since I was five years old after signing up for the local tee-ball team, and I have loved it ever since. Over the years I have won many awards, such as winning numerous tournaments for my Cal Ripken all-star team, but my biggest achievements came when I started high-school baseball. Making the varsity team as a freshman made me grow, not just as a baseball player, but I finally developed the actual meaning of what a student-athlete is.
Academics have always been very important to me, and becoming a leader in the classroom and on the field is a top priority for me. Moving through my next season, and my future high school years, I want to find a program that will fit me athletically and also fit my academics. Within my remaining years of high school I will be sacrificing and putting in all of the work required to be the best player I can be. After being a leading player on a majority of the teams I have been on I will make sure to carry that trait with me wherever I play.
