February 2017 #2
February 2017I am a student-athlete who overcomes obstacles and works tirelessly to win. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia as a young child. While this was initially a frustrating obstacle, I quickly realized I would have to work and study twice as hard to achieve the results I wanted. When faced with challenges in the classroom or on the baseball field, I respond the only way I know how; with passion, persistence and desire. Northern Valley Regional High School has prepared me well for the collegiate journey ahead. There have been numerous teachers, coaches and administrators who have who have helped shape the student-athlete I have become. I have always given my teachers and coaches my best effort, regardless of circumstances. Dyslexia has been a great teacher; demanding my best effort all the time, without exception. The message has been consistent, anything worth having is not going to come easy and I have to be disciplined and committed to perform at a high level in the classroom and on the field. I plan on majoring in Business in college with the goal of eventually owning my own business in the future.
