Starting opening day in 2019, for the Marlboro High School Varsity Baseball team, as a freshman pitcher really helped see where I had come from. I’ve worked hard for many years. It showed me how to experience more competitive players/teams and learn from more difficult situations. Keeping up with school and sports has really transformed me into the person I am today. Doing well in school, which is most important, as well as being the best person/athlete I can; has really helped build my confidence, but also has made me realize that there is still many more challenges and much more to learn (on/off) the field. I’ve learned that failure builds confidence and character.
I am so thankful to have the coaching that I’ve had for many years (and still to come), as some are very important people in my life. Without the help of these coaches and my parents, I don’t think I would be where I am today. I’ve learned countless things through commitment, always giving 120%, teamwork, being humble, and “hustle-hustle-hustle.” These traits have carried into my school-work and social life and have helped me make the right choices. So, through my next 3 1/2 years of high school, I am hoping to continue to grow, develop, and make the right adjustments that will help me become well-suited for the next level of competition and academics.
