Gavin Homan '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Gavin Homan and I will be a junior next year. I attend Pemberton Township High School in New Jersey. My goal is to play College Baseball at a Division I or Division II school, (but I am perfectly fine with starting out at a Junior College, NAIA, or Division III school). I think I could be a great fit for any team out there. First off, academics wise, I will never be a problem. I’m an A and B student with a GPA of 3.68 unweighted and 4.8 weighted. I’m in all honors classes and starting my junior year, I will be taking AP classes. I think I would be an asset to a team as I am a smart baseball player. I’ve been playing baseball ever since 5 years old. Ever since then I’ve had a love for the game that can’t be matched. I primarily pitch, but when I’m not I’m playing third base and first base. I can even play the outfield when needed to.  I’m a very smart baseball player and won’t make many mental mistakes. Although, when I do make one, I learn from that mistake and try to better myself because, I know when you are done learning, there’s no need for you to play the game anymore. Finally, I have an amazing character both on, and off the field. I always try to pick someone up when they’re down, and congratulate them when they do something productive. I am a very active member in my church, and have been for the past six years participating in events such as, working the community cancer walk, altar serving, and teaching Sunday school.  I’m not the one to get involved in drama or to spread rumors.
