Matthew Goldberg '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matthew Goldberg, and I am a middle infielder at Ridgewood High School in New Jersey. I am heading into my senior year of baseball. One of my best qualities is my coach-ability.  When a coach speaks to the team or to me personally, I devote one hundred percent attention to them. I work hard to make sure I take what they say and bring it to the field. I am a player who is always trying to improve my game, whether that is practicing seven days a week or waking up at five in the morning for an optional lift. 

Baseball has always been apart of my life, ever since I was young and playing wiffle ball with my father in the backyard. I am always trying to surround myself with the game by watching games or videos of some of the best players. 

Outside of baseball, I am an honors student who is very focused in the classroom and always studying hard to get good grades and learn as much as possible. I am very interested in studying business, especially relating to sports. My main goal is to get into a great college where I can get an excellent education and I can continue to play the sport I love at the next level.
