Maurice Huggins '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maurice Huggins. I am currently 5'5" and weigh 135 pounds. I am a Junior at Washington Township High School in Sewell, New Jersey. I play the outfield and I primarily hit lead off. With the COVID-19 Pandemic I won't be able to have my High School Baseball season. I'm still optimistic in playing this year. I am dedicated to working hard and getting better during this rough time so that I will be able to be my best for the 2020 summer and fall season. I will be playing on my club team (FS Prime). 

My whole life my passion has been to play sports. When I play baseball, football, and wrestle, I can show what my athletic abilities are capable of. I make my teammates better through the leadership that I represent. When I am put into groups or being affiliated with a team I can truly work my best to collaborate with my teammates, push others to success, and accomplish the main goal to get to the top. I’ve accomplished so much, and I’ve also have had many downfalls, but through all my experiences I have become stronger mentally, physically, and socially.  

My passion for baseball goes unmatched in which I think can provide me with a future. I love the game of baseball ever since I could pick a baseball from T-ball to High School. I have grown up playing baseball never missing a season or an opportunity to challenge my skill set both on and off the field.

The work that I have accomplished in school is what I think are one of my greatest accomplishments to me. My grades have always been a top priority. I believe that my interests and my success in my high school career through academics will reflect what I am capable doing for the future. I want to make the most positive impact on the world as possible. 

My primary goal is to be the best student-athlete as I finish my High School career so that I can make strides in finding a college that is right for me to play baseball at the next level while obtaining an education.
