Ever since I was little, Baseball was always my favorite sport and I couldn't stop watching the Yankees. I remember getting into the sport the most during the 2014 season when Jeter played his last games. Ever since then I have not only been motivated and inspired but also disciplined to keep goals on the diamond and a healthy mindset throughout my career. One thing that you can't show through recruiting videos and stats is your mindset. My ability to control my mind while playing baseball will show I'm just as confident when I'm 0 for 4 and 4 for 4. This is the most powerful tool to have as a ballplayer. I have struggled with grades in the past and ever since the start of high school they have been getting better as I have worked harder and I am striving for above a 3.5 for my first semester in my sophomore year of high school. The biggest obstacle I have ever had to overcome on the diamond is during a season where I didn't swing the bat for the whole year and I struggled during the season trying to rebuild my swing. Ever since then I have consistently swung the bat year-round and worked on my swing and made sure that will never happen again.
