Nick Baldev '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Nick Baldev. I am 17 years old and in my Junior year at Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, NJ. I am determined to be a part of a great collegiate baseball program and pursue a degree from one of the nation's highest academic level universities.

I've been playing baseball at the most competitive levels as far back as I can remember. For most of my life I've been a leadoff batter, middle infielder, and pitcher. I still do all of these things, but over the last few years I’ve been focusing much more on pitching.

I love the game and pay close attention to the details, trying to be the very best I can be. I also love being part of a team and play each game to win. I believe the things that really set me apart on the field are quickness, reads, and the ability to learn & make adjustments. These are strengths that I depend on and hope will keep me playing the game for a long time. 

Most importantly, I take great pride in my academics. I currently have a 3.89 unweighted GPA. and am shooting for a 33 or better on the ACT exam. I know that I still have so much to learn and am eager to keep growing, both in baseball and in life.
