He worked up to 80 mph with his fastball that showed good life. He commanded well throughout the outing, mixing in a breaking ball that induced plenty of swings and misses. Delaney’s breaking ball was big and heavy. It is a 12-6 breaker that could very well profile out as a hammer curveball as he grows and develops. His fantastic two-pitch mix helped him collect four punchouts while being incredibly efficient with only 29 pitches thrown.
