Personal Statement
I am an enthusiastic, hard working center fielder, and I thank you for your interest in me. I have been playing baseball since I was seven, and while I have experience with other sports – soccer and track – baseball is my true favorite. The strategy and mental aspects of the game along with being part of a team are all reasons why I love the game. I am a solid fielder, aggressive base runner, and good at getting the ball in play. I am continuing to work with both my track and baseball coaches to get faster, and to improve my power at the plate.
Born and raised in New York City, I was homeschooled through eighth grade, and then tested into the Bronx High School of Science. I am also in a selective six-year program at the American Museum of Natural History where I have yearly opportunities to conduct, and present, research on the natural habitats in the area. I really enjoy biology, and computer programming.
Absolutely, I am a more successful student when I am participating on a sports team. I’d love to attend an academically rigorous college where I can continue following my interests in the STEM fields, and contribute to the school’s baseball team’s success.
I look forward to hearing from you!
