Personal Statement
Being named the varsity starting catcher as an 8th grader has been one of my biggest accomplishments throughout playing baseball. Although I have been playing baseball at the varsity level, I feel as if I learned many lessons my freshman year when we as a team did not have a very successful year. Experiencing that season helped me by making me know I will have to become a better teammate and a hard worker in order to succeed at the collegiate level.
I have been fortunate enough to have played with multiple teams that have taught me the values of leadership, teamwork, sacrifice, and motivation. I am searching for a school where I will be able to succeed academically and athletically. I believe I am capable of competing at the college level, but also have the leadership to help bring success to your program. Being a two-sport athlete, I know what it takes in order to be a leader for your program!
