Playing baseball over the years has brought me many successes, and a few disappointments. While my success in baseball has driven me to get better, I have learned even more from when I don't come through. My losses motivate me even more to thrive in the future and ensure success for myself and my team.

Baseball has taught me that I am unwilling to give up, not just in baseball, but in academics too. Whether it is being named MVP or joining National Honor Society, I will put in the effort to succeed. If it means spending hours a day hitting off of a tee, or hours a day studying, I will strive to be the best I can in whatever I pursue. I have learned that sometimes it isn't just being good at something that is important, it is what your attitude is as you go about doing it. My goal is not only to pursue my education and succeed in baseball while doing it, but to continue to keep a good attitude, and as my former high school coach described me, continue being "a role model."
