Personal Statement

Hi,

Some of my collegiate goals are to challenge myself academically at the highest level, and to find the best school that offers me the most opportunity to play baseball and continue to grow as a player. Since I have started playing baseball I have always pushed myself to make my teammates, and I the best we can possibly be. What makes me different from other recruits is that I never have a frown on my face and I’m always positive no matter what the situation is on or off the field. I also have a 94 overall average in the classroom.

  • 03/20/2022 - Baseball Factory - Hartford, CT - Scouting report: Joseph is a tall and gifted two-way (RHP/1B) in the 2023 class. Checking in at 6�5/230, he is an impressive athlete. On the mound, he displays great presence and works with tempo that defenders love. His delivery provides deception and he hides the ball well. His release can also get on you in a hurry. He has a 3 pitch-mix from the stretch. His FB touched 85 with arm side run and located it in the zone well. His SL sat 68-70 and his CH sat 72-3. At 1B, he moves well laterally and has great bag awareness. Presents an exceptional target for his defenders and uses his wingspan to his advantage. Can work to stay lower to the ground in his fielding position for glove spacing and hop recognition. At the plate, he can generate pop with an 84 exit velo. He has solid hands and his swing is on plan with the baseball. Projects as a gap-to gap type hitter. Overall, with a strong commitment to working on his game, there is no telling what Joseph can accomplish on the diamond.
