Tyler VanDeBogart '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler VanDeBogart from Millbrook, New York.  I am currently a freshman at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, NY.  I am 6’3” and 200 lbs. My primary position is first base, which I started for the Falcons. I am also a left-handed pitcher. My batting average has been .400 or above throughout the season, ending with .365.  I have also been named to the 2022 Region XV DII Baseball Second-Team All-Region.  Although baseball is a team sport, I contribute greatly to my team. I am a leader on the baseball field. I know the game well and direct the game's flow, guiding my teammates. I have a strong bond with my teammates and coaches. I value hard work, teamwork, and sacrifice to improve my skills and improve my team.

I am a hard worker and take my academics seriously as a student. I am a dean's list student, currently majoring in general studies.  I am interested in criminal justice and could see a career in law enforcement someday.

I desire to continue playing baseball and attend a college that will challenge me academically and athletically. I have the dedication and character to continue to be part of a successful team.
