Pedro Alves de Lima '17 Recruiting Profile

I moved from Brazil in 2010. I only started playing baseball when I was 12, however, I was able to improve and surpass all of the other players in the league through my work ethic. I was named all state in NY at the age of 13 and 14. In high school, my GPA is a 3.9, I have received academic awards, as well as being Freshman of the year at the Dwight School on the Varsity baseball team (in 30+ plays my Freshman year I did not commit one error). Sophomore year I was not able to play baseball due to a basketball travel team outside of school. I believe I could play Division 1 baseball, because I am very determined work for what I want, and playing sports in college is it. I am very competitive (hate losing, however, it only motivates me to improve and come back stronger), not only when playing sports, but academically. I started playing baseball at a late age, however, I believe I could be the best player on any team I play for. I would like to prove myself through my work ethic. 

I am 6'3", 180 pounds. I plan on gaining at least 15 pounds of muscle weight over the Summer for baseball and basketball.

On my last ACT I received a score of 31.

At an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, I take 4 higher level (HL) classes.
