I'm Andrew Gleason. A Junior in the class of 2022 and going forward into college I am looking where I can continue to play the game I love and further my academics in Athletic Science. You should know that I love the game of baseball. It is truly my passion. I can't imagine any better life, than to be able to play the game I've fallen in love with. I am looking for a college that I can compete at and show people who I am. I am very confident in my abilities as a ball player and am looking for a chance to show what I have to offer.
On the baseball diamond I am the hardest worker and nobody is going to outwork me. I play hard and I may not always be the strongest or the fastest but I never stop working to be that. I am a versatile player and can play 2nd or short. On the defensive side of the ball I am a confident and strong defender. I have quick hands and quick feet which is what helps make me such a natural defender. I make the right plays in the field. Offensively I have a quick and strong swing. I stay short to the ball and I have good hand eye coordination, and a lot of power and explosiveness. I am currently working with Dave Parlett, a former scout for the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago Cubs, to continue to advance and progress my swing to get even better.
I work to perfect my game day in and day out. I workout 7 days a week and try to never take a day off. I'll always find time to get extra swings in or take extra BP in. And I will always find a time to lift. Whether it needs to be at 9:00pm after a game or over the weekend when people are hanging out with their friends. In the locker room I try to get along with everybody and try to build the team chemistry. I try to always keep a positive attitude toward the team even through the struggles and hard times. Keeping a team first attitude is just going to benefit your team all the more and also help to keep you center. Which is why I try to keep that mindset whenever and however I can.
