One of the constants in my life has always been baseball. Since I was 5 years old playing t-ball, all the way up to playing varsity and travel baseball, It has been a constant in my life for 10 years and I wish to continue playing after my senior year of high school. The game taught me valuable lessons such as teamwork and leadership when I was on JV. Baseball has also given me a reason to overcome obstacles in my life including a move from small town Verona, New Jersey, to Raleigh, North Carolina. It allowed me the opportunity to meet new people and make friends that I still keep to this day.
As a student I go to one of the most well respected high schools in the state; Ravenscroft. It is here that I also learn and apply important habits that will be useful in college, on and off the field, such as accountability, resilience, and a drive to improve. I also feel that I could contribute to the school’s community. I am a member of the school’s key club and I volunteer at food pantries, and The Miracle League: a place that allows kids with physical and mental disabilities to play non-competitive games of baseball. With all things considered I feel that all of my on and off field characteristics I am ready for the challenge of becoming a college baseball player.
