Tyson Lynch '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Tyson Lynch and currently a rising junior at Rocky Mount High School.  I love my family  and community.  I have been playing baseball since Pee Wee league with Rocky Mount City League.  I also was on League All-Star team 3 years in a row.   Currently,  I am on the school  varsity team with position of catcher and 1B.  I also played for a D2 travel  ball team for the last  2 years and play position of catcher and 1B.  I desire to play baseball in college.  My career goals are sports marketing and/or business finance.  I value academics as my parents always remind me  "education is first".  

I feel that I am a leader and have good knowledge of the game of baseball.  My coaches have complimented me on my ability stay positive and boost morale for my team.  I received  :"Teammate of the Year "  award this  baseball  2022 season.  I believe in total participation from all team members.  I am a team player.  I enjoy the sport of baseball not just play it.   And believe that you have practice to "stay in the game".   I am discipline and my parents support my efforts and make sure I attend practices and games as scheduled.   I get along well with people and respect that we all have differences.  

I have been doing well academically this year. I prefer face-to-face instruction and direct communication with others.  My school attendance is excellent.  I like reading various forms of media to stay current with local and national affairs.  I do understand the responsibility of working independently.   I am an active member of the children's/teen ministry  at church.   And participate in many church and community activities,  including public speaking at church programs.   I also participated as a member of the Junior Optimist Club and TRIO/SAU.  

I feel I am dedicated to be the best I can be.
